In-house powder coating, production and installation are the keys to our success. With the use of the best materials available, our products are built to last. All aluminum parts, stainless steel hardware, die cast aluminum flag assemblies are all included in our manufactured mailboxes. Attention to detail. Mailbox World takes great care throughout the entire manufacturing process. This includes choosing the best suited aluminum alloys, stainless steel grades and powder coatings.

MANUFACTURING

Materials, methods of construction, finishing and installation all serve as the building blocks that lay on our foundation. We use 6061 T6 and 6063 T6 aluminum extrusions, A356 grade cast aluminum, and A316 grade stainless steel for all of our hardware. Because of the savings generated by our in-house powder coating process we use the best powders on the market. No cutting corners. Our hinge/closure system is simple yet effective. Utilizing a pin hinge with a mechanical stainless steel closure system ensures many years of maintenance free use. We do not use plastic flag components that discolor and deteriorate after time, we use die cast aluminum components-built to last.

IN-HOUSE POWDER COATING

Mailbox World invested heavily into a state of the art facility to process and powder coat its products. After going through a 5 stage washing and conversion system, Mailbox World mailboxes are powder coated with a two part process. All products are primed with a protective epoxy primer coat to prohibit oxidation and corrosion of the aluminum and top coated with a TGIC color coat. This process ensures the highest quality in finishing and comes standard with our pricing.

INSTALLATION TO WARRANTY

We employ all our installers directly. No outside contractors guaranteeing proper installation and service. We offer onsite repair to our customers ensuring long term savings over many years of service. We use heavy wall 1/8” (.125) aluminum posts for all our mailboxes. Our competition uses .083” aluminum posts. The heavy walled post enables our customers to repair damaged mailboxes while the thin walled post is irreparable after an impact. Our experience has shown that with the use of a heavy walled post, 90% of the mailboxes damaged by impact can be repaired onsite at a fraction of the cost of replacement. This is particularly costly for large developments over a 10 to 15 year period. We use a stainless steel mechanical latching system on our custom mailboxes rather than substandard indoor cabinet fixtures or spring closure systems that fail over time. We warranty our products for three years including the powder coating. If our competition gives a similar warranty, ask for the warranty information directly from the powder coater who finished the product.
